Mid April 2020- Mid Quarantine

Hallo all yall boopie doos!

I sincerely hope that you all are doing well

and that you have everything that you need

be-it material, physical, or emotional

what have you been up to?

I'm not one to sit on my laurels...

what does that phrase even mean

lol

I have for the most part switched from coffee to tea

-above is one of my faves "breakfast in Paris"-

for the lil lift that tea gives - it also helps stimulate the

alpha & the beta brainwaves

staving away the anxiety...

but

I have been taking to
if I need a real coffee kick

blending some Starbucks via packets with
ice and a banana

for a homemade sorta frappuccino

it satisfies

especially if I drizzle some honey along the
sides of the ball jar that I drink it from...

anywayze...

this pic is of the azalea outside of the dining room window
from last Saturday...

this is the same azalea
yesterday morning...

lol

kin ya see mee wee fingy in that snap

lol

savage...

handsome wee Kit

he is so pleased to have more attention

every damn day

even Mr Mars is being a luvie

all the petty pets

hangin with ma

while she finishes her cuppa

they are loving the birdsong
from my Morning Meditation videos

April 17th (today)
has a fun flyby or two of a tiny titmouse
checking out my situation
lol

I was worried I was flinching when it flew close
but the footage seems pretty steady

win win.

can't help but bask in the beauty here

very extremely lucky to have this surrounding us
as we are quarantining/social distancing

the meditation loft is in full swing

and getting a lil lick o paint on the window

finally!

now

paint ALL the windows...

last count was 32 windows in the whole place...

I think they're breeding in the night...

and I'm on day two of digging in all these babies!!!

our old neighbors are making room for a veg garden

so

they were kind enough to give this mega ton of lilies

bulbs, and hostas

couldn't believe how many there were...

I am exhausted already

& exhilarated by the huge contribution to our barren landscape

I will document how I'm terracing them into nooks and crannies...

lots of digging

lots

and the studio is getting the makeover I've wanted to do since we moved in!!!

that old closet is finally coming out!!!

YaY

more pics to come

lots of mud is patching up the boo boos

its

Spackle-Tackular!

lol

ahem

teehee

oh!

and the table has its new life!!!

it took a few coats
- & the pets loved playing in all those newspapers!-

I used
Behr Marquee Ultra Pure White
in Satin Finish

my fave

*super tip for ya*

if you paint a surface that you place objects on like you would on a shelf
table or whatever - I don't know y'life-
and your paint has a finish to it
meaning it isn't a chalky chalk paint or matte
then you need to be aware that for a period of time
from one month up to 6 months
that finish
or built in top coat
doesn't matter if its satin
or high gloss
your ambient humidity
and your temperature
will dictate how fast it cures
so beware
use a cloth underneath anything you place on top your freshly painted item

unless you want things imprinting on the surface

or sticking to it!!!!!

anyways
that's my lecture on paint curing 101

lol

anyhoo

I HOPE YOU ARE SAFE
YOU ARE THE BEST
SO PROUD OF YOU
LOVE YOU LOTS

"MY LADY"

you can't see me do it
but I just tipped my hat and bowed to you

Fair thee well Goode friends

New Dining Room

Still out there?
how goes it?

we are definitely not living the existence that we thought we would be right now...

but

I do know that after all is said and done
we will be picking ourselves up and dusting ourselves off ...

with all hopes that we will have something resembling what life was like before...

onward. we. go.

New Dining Room!!!

we tend to get technical after the holidays

we take stock of what worked,
how many ppl we need to probably prep for next season...

and how to make it easier
we do not want these fun times to feel like a chore

so we took our downstairs sitting room with the wood stove

and

turned it into a dining room!!!!

do you recognize that table?

yep its the old one from the kitchen!

its a bit wobbly

and a lil too narrow

time to find something else

but a nice first try

how the sitting room used to look like

this was definitely a good first draft

the widows and the sun!

we are now making any excuse to be in there!

here's the 5 legged hand-me-down

how old is it?

from the 1920s? 40s? 50s? 60s?

the jury is out on that...

I do know for a fact that it was my grandmothers kitchen table

but

lets back up a bit to the transformation...

took all the cozy furniture to the snug down the hall

what's a snug... its a den...

Charli is helping.

took the ruggy rug upstairs to the bedroom...

its now part of the meditation corner of the bedroom...

I'll prob blog about that soon...

I'm cleaning out all the clutter etc...

see all the extra rugs now...

still re-distributing them...

hey

isn't that that rug y'all got from target a while back
that was supposed to go under the bed...?

yuppers

let me tell you something...

sometimes things come into this house

and it seems really automatic

what its for or where its going to go...

then sometimes this happens...

there's what feels like procrastination.

its not.

the rug was definitely made for this!

lol

so don't beat yourself up for hesitating on a project

the best possible outcome is just BREWING...

let it

trust it.

be patient.

and look at how well it goes under the table!!!

lil tip:

this rug was 8 x 10 on sale for like $80 with free shipping from target online

I tend to stalk the sales for rugs

then we couple that with our red card discount

I'm not affiliated with the targs...

just a tip from me to you

;-)

close up

Charli is still helping...

the center leg was missing its castor

and correct me if I'm wrong here

most kitchen tables with castors like this were probably
used way way back because they didn't usually have a ton of counter space
and needed something they could easily slide over to wherever was useful
and then slid back easily without needing help or scratching the floor...

if so

this may be great grandmas table...

ooooooooooooooo

of course because I'm a pack rat girl scout

I had a wee wooden castor in an old tool box

in the cellar

I've had that thing sooooooo long

I don't even remember where I got it

or found it

or what it came off of...

FATE

pretty sweet

remember

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'm not really sure why these pics have positioned themselves side by side............................................

but we are just going to let them be... cuz they cute.

this is where I'm sitting now

so frikkin cozy

and I frikkin love cozy!!!

so here we are
spring
season of rebirth

what are you all doing during this time?

are you guys working from home?

I've got some paint and crowbar type projects coming up

literally

in just a day...

wwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

we tear it down to build it up!

k kids... just wait... you'll see the next incarnation of this lovely table soon...

hope you all are riding the waves of life well.

roll with the punches.

and don't forget

I'm proud of you, & you are loved.
