DIY Xmas Ribbon from Old Video Tapes

I love reusing junk 'round the house!

Usually I'm all brown paper bags and twine...

This year I wanted more "shine".
(rhyme not intentional... must be the holidays)...

To get this Look:

Go to your Pit Of Despair: AKA Closet/Storage Unit/Parents Basement....

Find the forgotten pile of VHS Tapes...

Some of these puppies don't even have covers!!! OMG...

Find a Philips Head Screwdriver...

Locate the Three (3) Screws on the Underside of the Cassette....

It'll pop right open & take the spools out...

Stick spools in Yer neatly organized Wrapper Stacker...

Found this at Michael's, I called it "Wrapper Stacker" (not sure what they call it...) pretty sure it's located near the beads and/or scrapbook supplies...

Pretty handy/portable...

In past years I used a brown paper bag & it was Chaos! Danger! Mind Numbing & Time Consuming to find anything quickly, or to know when you were out/running low on any particular supply...

Or if Hubby wanted to wrap something, he wouldn't attempt digging thru the bag, he'd find whatever from the office...

Duct tape... Ball point pen written on the gift wrap w/o a tag... Oh the Humanity!!!

LOL

The Tape is Shiny!

Tied in a knot, w/a few more short lengths tied also in knots...

Using the edge of the scissors...

Gently...

Going w/the natural bend of the tape...

The ends curled wicked easy!!!

Who knew!

So many Xmas Presents/Cards!!!

I used two types of wrapping paper...

This way when we travel to the family, I know I've packed them all bc none w/that paper will be left under the tree!!!

A mistake you don't want to make twice...

White & Gold Feather Tags! Yes Please!

Thank You Target!

Of course I have a Ton more to do!

So Ima go get back to it!

Doesn't matter if you're Gifting or Receiving...

Just Make sure you MAKE SOMETHING!!!

XOXO
~JM
