NEW FRONT DOOR!

worky working on the laptop today

im not really sure if its long for this world...?

its whirring and super hot underneath...

its 12yrs old... so...

eek here we go!

since we moved to our house 4 years ago

we have been dreaming of a new front door...

pictured here is the result of all of those dreams!!!

the day the nice guy from Lowes came to make the door magic

he even replaced the bottom of the framey frame there!

he was very thorough with all the details!

then I put our found at Home Depot for $18ea lanterns out there 

for good measure of course

&

layered matttttttts 

&

fairy lights with timers wrapped around those

big

azz

candles

that have been

in 

storage 

for 

the

last 

oh idk

10 years...

i knew hoarding them would pay off

...eventually...

lol

lolz i think the smell coming from my computer is making me punchy ;-S

back to business

here it is 

just before xmas

letting in tons of light 

and keeping out all of the cold

the pets can't get enough of those sunny beams of coziness!!!

as i was saying 

what was i saying...

the light omg!

we put a dining room scheme together

in that front roomy room

and we cannot pull ourselves away now

we rarely ate at our kitchen table 

unless we had company

now we make excuses to sit in this room!!!

to sum up...

we don't regret a single penny

the whole purchase & labor 

came in around $1100

new door handle/lock/knob thingy included in that too

Lowes had their whole method down perfect

from the moment we asked about having our door measured

to when we were plunking down our Lowes card to start the paperwork

couldn't be happier

and i like to diy stuff

but i knew the learning curve was steep with this one!!!

we never had a moment of fear for making a bad decision on this

their confidence became ours

and just look at the results... 

ignore the huge space there, i edited the pic...

idk... space shouldn't be there...

is it too late to chock that up to mercury in retrograde...?

anyways the door looks great!
