Summer 2020: gratitude

there are so many things 

going on 

in the world 

right

now

way more than enough

to 

break us all

&

make us want to 

give up

go away

stop 

loving 

living

where 

or when

could we possibly

start 

having normal 

pieces 

fractured lil baby pieces 

of what we thought our lives once were

again

we are so tired

and definitely a good bit pissed off

but 

we need everything we can put in alinement 

so we can put together what the new normal will look like

if the vibe is high enough

we could be in for something really good

that's why I'm making time to focus 

on the good energy

completely 

having moments

not slathered 

in the heavy muck 

that our lives are trying to make it through 

right now

making the decision

to have this moment 

be my 

breath of fresh air

to dive back into the fray

stronger than before.

its better than letting the vines climb on everything 

around them and kill all the nice planty friends

we let the wildlife eat these

these wee lil plants wouldn't really give us 

enough to do anything with

and I really like having something to give the 

lovely lil beings that visit

one of the dandelion puffs from this year

finally got some mosses etc in the faux window box out back

the first flush of wisteria was amazing

we've had this baby for 3yrs now

and this is the first year that we are having new buds

second flush is on the way!

the only peony in the garden 

so far

had this one for a year

came back and was so pretty

I think it needs friends!

I was able to organize my hand sewing kit

and 

my crafty glue gun stuff

in separate containers no less

I'm definitely winning

I almost forgot about the fluffy white iris!

I bought this one last year and I am so pleased that its doing great

it had 4 blooms this year

always glad when things 

survive after my guessing game of new gardener madness

Days in the Life: It Rained for a Month

it is morning

i am typing

trying also to fig out 

the nuance of wifi transfer vid apps

while eating ma brekkie

the electronics

all of them

and the pumpernickel bagel

that is this morning

lets look at some of the other mornings 

local doh nut shop

had all the gluten frees

schpidahs

have set up the webs

coffeeeeee

in a wine glass

because coffee

got another corner of the kitchen floor done

its only been going on a year and a hafffff

i have goals

the display of mushes

is full on bc of a month of rain

all the fuzzy glorys

even the absolutely teeny tinys are perfectly perfect

they are just amazing

and the rag weed is out

sniffle sniffle sneeze

sweet ferns are in abundance

they're pretty & we will let them be

and hopefully they will spread

rhododendron is putting on growth 

& sending out a bloom 

okayyyyy

when it wasn't pouring down

it was so hot it made the plastic urns 

go all bendy

yeah

this was a breaking point for me

i snapped

i vowed to go in the house

get washed up and just say 

go ahead stupid weather 

wreck what you can 

im not making anything else

until you calm the F down

so i went inside

washed ma hair

put on some clean

not working outside clothes

omg how long had it been since i had done that

besides for work

and we went to Target!!!

yay

we needed a few things and just took our time

btw

they will let you out of the store 

if you don't spend $200

fyi

just so you know

I had my Hamlet leggins on with

my grandpa sweater

and my lil studdy back pack 

annnnnnd of course

meanwhile

back at the ranch

the cat has decided to campaign 

for his own instagram

i give it one more week before he gets sick of posing

lol

we had an eat like a child day

whole wheat bun

turkey hot dog

ketchup

broccoli tots

it was freaking delicious

while having an entire month of rain and storms

you have to have one power outage

right

thats where all of those battery operated candles come in

thank goodness i collect them

lol

ok

thats it for this days in the life post

to sum up

it rained for a whole month

we now live in a jungle and i had clean hair

that stayed clean for more than a sec

weeeeee

i need to go 

hunt for cords

 to link the cam i just made a video on

fingers crossed that i make it out of our office jungle alive

I've already looked where i thought it would be

organized chaos

needs 

to get

 organized

BUT FIRST

i will do something fun
