Wait is it Still August? Life & Studio Update?

Month 5...?

of Covid Times

We are still staying home

Not going inside public places...

Hubs is working from home

&

Im still not working...

So, Ive had opportunity to change up the studio...

at first it was to put a good width of distance if clients are here...

now its a full time creative mind, body, spirit haven...

when we first moved in...

there was a big bump out closet with these bi-fold doors...
we have since used these doors behind our bed, painted white...
looks like some crazy boho paneling.

all of me wee supplies were cozy inside this crazy bump-out...

I would change up the floral swag with the seasons etc...

how cute it was just starting out here at Fox Hill

After some updates...

and the product shelf...

I still have products when I thought we were going to be outta this sooner...

now I consider it a life time supply...?

the original arrangement of all the wee mirrors...

hey there's a face in there too!

all the taxes prepped here...

good times

when I first learned that I was going to have more than a couple of weeks...

well, how could I not start reworking what I never had time to rework...

besides, anything that is assembled...

can be disassembled.

MMMMuuuuuahahahahahahahahahaaa!

Now I have gently used wood pieces for the reusings...

where the closet was...

this was the first gathering of the things...

anybody need a painting painted???

no really...

the planty friends are very happy...

an assortment of sheer curtains and a misty morning...

captured by the wyze cam...

pretty good light to take the pics for the Olde Etsy Shoppe

Im taking some of the wood for the reusings...

and building some shelves!

these puppies are making it real easy...
and I can make two nice display shelves...

BARGAIN!!!

here's my pandemic chic ready for the post office, ride along selfie...

I don't think I had a panic attack on this ride...

so...

winning...?

this came in the mail...

lots of tea on the English cottage garden philosophy...

my lil buddy...

hes sitting in the chair next to me now.

first oranges in months...

and a bunch more learnin materials...

one of the volunteer sunflowers

and someone apparently thought I could use a mushroom...

Bitch, Make Your Own Wedding: Boutonnières!

Boutonnieres People.

Weddings, Prom, Mother's Day, or You just think you Kick Azz!

Here's how I did it.

This is just one of the MANY designs that can inspire...

Head over to Pinterest to see what catches your eye...

Well, as you can see here I've got my Craftynesses together:

Flers, Coffee, Pad for Tunes of Inspo, Bins o' Things like Feathers, String, Beads, etc...
Love that watermark...
I'm not good at that... yet!
When I even remember to do it! lol
;-)

Here's where sh*# gets real:

- TWINE!
- FLORAL TAPE
- TINY SPRIG OF PUSSY WILLOW (cuz spring)
- ONE TINY ROSE "spray rose" ($8.98/bunch @ local grocery)
- A FEATHER OR TWO
- ONE SPRIG OF BABIES BREATH ($2.99/bunch @ local grocery)
*** $11.97 total spent on whole vase of bud-ness!***
- SAFETY PIN
- SCISSORS
- WIRE
- DETERMINATION & RESOLVE!

One Feather is that rustic-y Brown, the other White for contrast against the lapel.

Chop that Feather till it is the desired length!

Take yer handy hands & start sizing up your elements to see what needs trimming back...

Lay em all out together to see how they look as an arrangement.

Loosely hold on as you fine tune it.

Tiny bit o' wire...

Twist it 'round to stabilize - takes less floral tape to secure this way which will reduce the bulk...

Wrap your Floral Tape around one time to start...

If this is your first time working with floral tape, note that if you stretch it gently it becomes stickier. ;-)

Place your Safety Pin against the arrangement - Clasp Side Inward - and wrap it twice with the Tape.

Time For TWINE!

Place the Twine at the Base & wind both sides up so you can tie it towards the start of your arrangement.

If you're not into Twine, use ribbon, lace, burlap, fabric scraps, your imagination! :-D

See! Boom!

Took me 10mins.
For just one...
If you are Making many....
Get your Friends and Fam into it!!!

Rustic, Bohemian, Cute as a Boutonn...

X-D

I Made them for all the men at the Ceremony, whether they liked it or not! lol
These are just a few examples ;-)

Could be a fun thing to wear everyday...
Just sayin'...

Mother's Day is coming... Make a bunch for yer Matriarchs!

Get over to the Pinterest and get inspired!

Fabric or Paper Flower Corsages...

Fun!!!

Rock On! See how pretty I am... I mean, the Boutonniere is... ;-)

Make a trip to the Market,

Make some Boutonnieres,

MAKE SOMETHING!!!

XOXO
